Why I like Maui... The Iao Needle

Located in the Iao Valley, a 6.2 acre state park, approx 2 miles above Wailuku. A few minutes from the cities of Kahului and Wailuku is this rain forest, moist and cool, lush amd full of beauty. The needle was used by warriors of King Kamehameha, in the olden times, as watch tower. Bloody battles were fought in the past in order to control Maui.
