On the (lava) Rocks!

We were just watching the sunset last night at the Cove Parkin South Maui, hangout place for surfers and canoe paddlers.
The lava rocks I am standing on here are the smooth ones and have a glossy finish.(When molten lava flows to the ocean and are chilled quickly, a thin, glassy rind forms on the exposed surface of the lava flow. This layer of glass provides the luster to the rock). Btw, it is un-cool to take rocks out of Hawaii, and kind of bad to be taking them anyway (since people after you would like to see the place un-scarred). But remember, there is a folklore about taking lava rock as a souvenir and a myth of bad luck will befall on you till you return it to where you got it.
