Aloha Wedding -Jan 3. 2005, Westin Hotel, Maui.
Aloha Everyone! I thought I'd publish my speech to again thank every one who made it to the wedding in Maui. It was such a beautiful and very romantic wedding. The weather was at its best. We could not ask for any more. Thank you, God! "Aloha Ladies and Gentlemen, On behalf of my wife Mitzi; my son, Denny; and my daughter, Liezl; I would like to extend to everyone here tonite a very warm Aloha welcome to this beautiful and awesome paradise island of Maui. We have been so excited and thrilled to see and meet all of you from the day you responded to Liezl's and Scott's invitation to their wedding day's celebrations. I also would like to take this opportunity to extend a BIG MAHALO to each and every one of you who has travelled across the Pacific ocean just to be with us on Scott's and Liezl's very special day. Your presence here means so much to all of us and I know this will all be remembered forever. There are so many people I want to thank. First of all, to Scott and Liezl, we wish you all the best and a happy life together. We are very happy that you found each other and are proud to have a new son in the family. Also, thank you for getting married in Maui. You should have done it a long time ago, when real estate prices were lower! Thanks to your wedding, we have since moved here, and now we are having the time of our lives. Mitzi and I are thankful to Matt and Diane for their son, Scott and for being here with us tonight. We are also glad you allowed Scott to go to the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where Scott and Liezl met. I would like to mention my utmost gratitude and respect to my brothers, Clifford, Bob and Albert who value family relationships more than anything else. They are here tonite with ther wives (my favorite sisters in law), their children and husbands and friends and grandchildren. Thank you also for Denny and his friends, John, Wing and Christine, who have made our pre- wedding parties very entertaining. They have brought so much life to our celebration. To Sheena, who had very willingly offered her expertise in hair arrangement, thank you so much. The girls look very pretty tonite. Thanks to Mitzi's brothers: Jojo, Rod and Gerry, who are here tonite. Your attendance makes the celebration more complete. My thanks also to go Chris, my longtime, high school friend for being here tonite, and my Mortgage broker, Eric Roberts who worked so hard to get my real estate loan approved and funded by January 6, 2005. (It is Unbelievable! Closing in 26 days!) And my greatest thanks go to Mitzi, my beautiful wife who gave me 2 beautiful and good children. Denny and Liezl. Without her, we would not all be here tonite. She is a very caring mother and a wonderful wife. Together with Liezl and Tina, Westin's Director of Romance, she worked so hard to make this occasion into a success and memorable event. And for all of those I missed who had helped in this celebration. Thank you all so much for coming! Lastly, we are all very thankful to God for not only bringing us together here, but also for giving us the Sun back on this very special day. At this time, I think I am ready to party. So Let's Go!"
